What does “paid in sats” mean?

Your stake is denominated in satoshis, the small units of Bitcoin. When a market settles, any winnings or refunds are credited to your account balance in sats. From there, eligible funds can be withdrawn over Lightning to a wallet you control, subject to the withdrawal minimum and rules.

Sports markets such as NFL and NBA games normally show fixed odds, and the quoted return locks when your bet is accepted. Markets that carry no quoted price, including every Bitcoin price market, are pool based: both sides are funded by participants and the winners split the pool when the outcome resolves.
