Pasting a Lightning invoice every time someone wants to send you sats gets old fast. An address does not. Now you can earn one with your own name on it.
Lightning Faucet now gives players a personal Lightning address: [email protected]. Anyone can pay it from any wallet that supports Lightning addresses, and the sats land in your Lightning Faucet balance. No invoice to copy, no deposit screen to open.
It is not handed out to everyone, though. You earn it.
How You Unlock It
Two ways in, and either one works:
Deposit at least 1,000 sats in total, or play at least 100 games with your own sats. Free spins and bonus play do not count toward the 100. Players who already claimed an address keep it.
That is the whole bar. It is low on purpose, and it is there so the names belong to people who actually use the place.
Claim Yours in Three Steps
Step one. Make an account on the casino page. You can sign in with email, or with a Lightning wallet using one-tap LNURL-auth.
Step two. Hit the threshold: deposit 1,000 sats, or play 100 games with your own sats.
Step three. Open your profile, find the Lightning Address card and tap Claim Address. Pick a name and you are done.
The rules for the name are simple. Three to twenty characters, lowercase letters, numbers and underscores. A name that is already taken or reserved will be refused, and once you have one you can change it once every 30 days, as long as your account meets the deposit or paid-games requirement for choosing a name.
What It Is Actually For
Put it in your bio. A readable address is easier to share than a QR code or a long invoice string, and it works every time, because a fresh invoice is created each time someone pays.
Tip yourself from your own wallet. If you hold sats somewhere else, sending to your address tops up your balance without opening the site.
Let other people fund you. A friend can send you sats to play with from whatever wallet they already use.
Each payment can be from 100 sats up to 1,000,000 sats. It goes through the same deposit path as the normal deposit button and usually settles in seconds. A test payment we ran settled in 7 seconds.
What It Is Not
It is not a separate wallet. Payments to your address are deposits into your Lightning Faucet balance. They show up in your account like any other deposit, and you can withdraw with the Withdraw menu, subject to the normal withdrawal rules. The address only receives.
It also does not support Nostr zaps. Plain Lightning payments only. A zap sent to it still arrives as an ordinary payment, just without a zap receipt.
Questions
Is it free? Yes. Claiming and keeping an address costs nothing.
Do I need an account? Yes. The address points at your balance, so it needs an account to point to.
Which wallets can pay it? Any wallet that supports Lightning addresses, which is most of them.
Can I get a name like admin or paul? No. Role names and product words are reserved.
